LIVING TO GIVE OUR LIvEs AWAY

LIVING TO GIVE OUR LIvEs AWAY

IN THE PURSUIT OF JESUS & IN LOVE FOR OTHERS.

We are a community of Jesus pursuers who enjoy sharing life with one another and reaching out to our community with love in action.  Our desire isn’t to be God’s Church only on Sunday morning. We understand that as individuals WE ARE THE CHURCH.  It’s a living, active Church that believes we have been called to make this life reflect the coming eternal life.

We believe you were made in the image of our Creator. Just like we were. And our Creator tells us we are valuable and loved because He created us, not by the choices we’ve made before we knew Him. Nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38,39).

Outside these walls you might have discovered you weren't always appreciated for where you were in life. Our hope is you will see we genuinely care about you. We understand that we are all on a journey with God and that He is at work, transforming us in His timing, to look more and more like Jesus everyday.

We are also big on Community.  If this is your first time visiting with us, or if you’ve decided you would like to know more about our church, we invite you to fill out a Connection Card.  This helps us connect with you and journey with you.  Inviting other people into your life can be hard but we hope you’ve experienced something different here.  We hope you’ve felt like part of our family.

Sunday Gatherings

10:45am

JOINING TOGETHER, CELEBRATING WHAT GOD HAS DONE.

Sunday Gatherings are a great introduction to our church family. We believe church services should be engaging, relevant and communal. Each week you will learn what the Bible has to say on topics that affect your everyday life, as well as joining together with other Jesus followers in celebration of God.

SUNDAY GATHERINGS START AT 10:45am AND LAST FOR ABOUT AN HOUR.

Common Questions

about our Sunday Gatherings

WHAT Can I EXPECT ON SUNDAY MORNINGS?

-We hope you can make yourself at home. You can even grab some coffee or tea on your way into the sanctuary. Our desire is that you will feel welcomed, that you can relax and enjoy yourself.

-Once our gathering starts, you will be welcomed and hear some announcements.

-Our band will play a couple of songs. Afterwards we give people the chance to share what’s going on in their lives.

-There will be a 5 minute break for intermission (Children’s Church starts at this time).

-Our pastor will share a message relevant to your life. When he is done, we will enter into a period of open worship, to pray, listen to God and share as His Spirit leads.

-After each gathering we meet in the fireside room to visit over snacks.  Community doesn’t happen sitting in a pew but in visiting and sharing our lives.

What if I have kids?

WE CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN.  While Olympic View Friends provides age-appropriate care for all children (up to 10 years old), we believe it’s important for kids to experience worshiping Jesus with their family. Staffed children's programming begins after our short intermission. Please use the CHECK IN Station located in the Children’s Area hallway. Our children spaces are open for you to use, if you need to, before staff is available.  We also have books, legos and other various toys available in the Sanctuary, should your little one want to play with them.  Feel free to pick something out and bring it to where your family is sitting.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

You will see a wide range of attire at our church. People wear anything from suits and dresses to jeans and t-shirts. Casual dress as well as something more formal are both perfectly acceptable for Sunday morning gatherings. Our advice?  Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.

WHAT about parking?

We have a spacious parking lot at the front of the building as well as a smaller overflow lot at the back. We also have spaces available at the front for handicap parking as well as a handicap-accessible entrance ramp.
