FRIENDS MINISTRIES

-Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends-

    We are the men, women, and children of sixty-seven churches in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington who join together to worship God, to serve Jesus Christ both personally and through outreach ministries, and to pray that, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, we will impact society with love in action.

 

-Twin Rocks Friends Camp-

    Located on 120 acres of forest, lake and stream, at the beautiful Oregon coast, Twin Rocks Friends Camp and Conference Center sponsors Christian camps and retreats for people of all ages and provides rental accommodations for groups up to 350.  In addition to its main camp location, Twin Rocks owns the nearby, 50-bed oceanfront Harbor Villa Retreat Center.

 

-Quaker Cove Christian Camp & Retreat Center-

    Located on Fidalgo Island in Washington State, Quaker Cove camp is a refreshing place to get away from the busyness of daily life. 

 

-Barclay Press-

    The Barclay Press office is located in Newberg, Oregon, near the campus of George Fox University. Since 1959, Barclay Press has served the Friends Church through the publication of books, pamphlets, curriculum, and periodicals.

 

-George Fox University-

    George Fox University is a Christian university of the humanities, sciences and professional studies founded in 1891 by Quaker pioneers. They offer bachelor’s degrees in more than 40 majorsadult degree programs, five seminary degrees, and 11 master’s and doctoral degrees. George Fox University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and the 2009-10 Forbes college ranking made George Fox the highest-ranked Christian college in America. 

 

-Barclay College-

    Barclay College is a Bible college founded by the Friends Church which welcomes students from many different faith backgrounds. Here the focus is on "... Preparing students in a Bible-centered environment for effective Christian life, service, and leadership." Their degree programs include Bachelor degrees in Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Music Ministry, Bible/Theology, Missions, Psychology and Family Studies, Bi-Vocational Missions, Christian School Elementary Education, and Business Administration. With a student to faculty ratio of 11:1 it is very easy to get one-on-one attention from your professors. Barclay has a student body of just over 100, so unlike bigger schools you are an individual and a name, not just a number.

 

-Evangelical Friends Mission-

    Their purpose and passion is to lead people worldwide to live so close to Jesus Christ that they will worship, serve and obey God as faithful witnesses. They live and die for the cause of fulfilling the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. They exist to fuel a worldwide multiplication movement of worshipping, God-glorifying Evangelical Friends Churches through evangelism, leadership development and missionary-sending.
