When families enroll their children in our Child Care & Learning Center, they are expecting that we have people in leadership who are educated, qualified and have experience.  We wanted to share some more information about our new Interim Director of Education, to communicate who will be overseeing your child's development, education, and care.

"Hello, my name is Nancy Kodish and I am the new Interim Director of Education at Olympic View Friends Child Care and Learning Center. I am eagerly anticipating the challenge of being an intricate part of your children’s future. I am looking forward to working with you, the parent(s), and developing a positive relationship. Trust is of the utmost importance to me and I have full conviction that we will develop this relationship together with an open door to communication.
I have a Bachelor Degree from Cal State University of Bakersfield in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. I have been working with children for the last 20 years and am dedicated to the social and emotional development of each child and make it my goal to make sure that each child receives the best care and love that they all deserve.
I was raised on the east coast but lived the majority of my life on the west coast. I have 3 beautiful children who are thriving in their own careers and I’m extremely proud of them. I enjoy being outdoors and race BMX. I spend most of my free-time racing and practicing at the track. Another passion of mine is writing poetry. I’ve been doing this since my teen years.
I’m looking forward to starting my new career at Olympic View Friends and can’t wait to meet you all."

Ms. Nancy is in the process of moving to NE Tacoma from Milwaukee, WIsconsin.  Her first day at OV Friends will be on October 18th.  We encourage families to introduce themselves to her as she begins to build relationships with our Child Care & Learning Center's staff, children and parents.
